Magura Race PRO set

MAGURA RACE PRO are powerful hydraulic 4-piston brakes designed for riders who demand maximum braking power, a precise bite point and low weight. They combine braking performance suitable for enduro and downhill with a weight that also makes them suitable for trail and XC race bikes.

The radial master cylinder design, together with a 12 mm piston in the brake master and four 19 mm pistons in the caliper, delivers powerful braking with minimal finger pressure. The master cylinder body, lever blade and caliper are all made from aluminium. The one-piece, forged and CNC-machined 4-piston caliper offers exceptional stiffness and transfers force directly to the brake pads. The complete system delivers approximately 20% greater stiffness than the MAGURA MT7, resulting in a firmer lever feel and a more clearly defined bite point.

The single-finger aluminium lever runs on a bearing for light, smooth actuation. Lever reach can be adjusted without tools. The integrated Shiftmix system allows SRAM or Shimano shifters to share the brake clamp using the appropriate adapter.

The MAGURA EASY LINK system allows the hydraulic hose to be easily disconnected from and reconnected to the brake master. It simplifies brake installation, internal hose routing and component replacement. A bleed valve and an optimised internal oil circuit also simplify servicing and bleeding.

The brakes use MAGURA MDP 13 Silver brake pads and are compatible with rotors measuring 2.0 mm thick and 180 to 220 mm in diameter. Braking performance and feel can be further tailored by choosing rotors and pads to suit the rider’s weight, bike and riding style.
