The ORTOVOX SHOVEL PRO LIGHT avalanche shovel combines low weight, high strength and efficient digging performance. Weighing only 440 g, it is an excellent choice for ski touring and freeriding when you want to keep your avalanche safety equipment as light as possible without compromising on functionality and durability.

The telescopic shaft is made from high-strength 7075 T6 aluminum, while the blade is constructed from hardened and anodized 6061 T6 aluminum. A pronounced center ridge and raised sidewalls increase blade rigidity and provide the strength required when digging through hard and compact snow.

The sharp, durable blade edge helps penetrate firm snow efficiently, while non-slip step grooves allow you to use additional force with your boot when digging. The telescopic shaft features a quick-locking system, and the T-grip can be configured for both right- and left-handed users.

Strategically positioned cut-outs in the blade reduce overall weight and allow the shovel to be used for building a rescue sled or as a snow anchor. The SHOVEL PRO LIGHT is compatible with the ORTOVOX PRO ALU III shaft and its compact design fits all ORTOVOX avalanche backpacks.
