Lightweight and durable avalanche probe made from hardened aluminum, featuring the innovative automatic PFA locking system, which allows you to assemble the probe in one smooth motion while pulling it out of its cover. The system works reliably even in extremely cold conditions, while the conical segment connections ensure quick and smooth assembly without jamming.

Combined with the intuitive color coding of the individual segments, the probe helps speed up the rescue process. It is designed for instructors, mountain guides and anyone who regularly undertakes demanding winter tours in the mountains.

• The conical steel tip is wider than the probe shaft, reducing friction and preventing the probe from freezing to the walls of the probing hole. This allows the probe to penetrate hard and compact snow more easily.

• The innovative PFA system allows the probe to be assembled in a single motion, even in freezing temperatures. The PFA system is slightly heavier than the Quick Lock system, but is extremely durable and suitable for frequent and professional use.

• The 1.5 m depth marker helps you determine the most effective direction to start digging and can save valuable time during a rescue:

  • dig from the side if the 1.5 m marker is below the snow surface,

  • dig from above if the marker is above the snow surface.

  • The probe also features a depth scale in 5 cm increments.

During digging, the blue second-to-last segment serves as a warning that you are approaching the buried person. The final neon-orange segment at the tip of the probe indicates that extra care should be taken when digging to reduce the risk of injuring the buried person.
