The SILCA Ultimate TPU Inner Tube is designed for road cyclists who prioritize low weight, compact storage and performance. Made from thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), it offers a lightweight alternative to traditional butyl tubes while taking up less space when packed, making it particularly useful for racing, training and carrying as a spare.

Compatible with 700C wheels and tire widths from 24 to 43 mm, this version features a 70 mm Presta valve for use with deeper-section rims. The valve has a removable core, allowing convenient maintenance and compatibility with suitable inflation accessories.

  Installation Instructions

  1. Inspect the rim and rim tape. Ensure that the rim is clean and that the rim tape is correctly positioned and undamaged.

  2. Install the inner tube without twisting or folding. Make sure it sits evenly inside the tire.

  3. Inflate the tube slightly to approximately 5 PSI to give it shape before installation.

  4. Fit and seat the tire by hand. Check that the tube is not trapped between the tire bead and the rim.

  5. Increase the pressure gradually in 15 PSI increments until the desired pressure is reached. Rapid airflow during inflation may damage the tube.
