SILCA Chain Stripper is an effective solution for preparing bicycle chains before switching to wax-based lubrication. Its formula helps remove oily lubricants and factory grease that can interfere with wax adhesion. It is suitable for preparing new chains as well as cleaning used chains before applying hot-melt wax or drip-on wax lubricant.

The formula also acts as a primer, helping wax bond to the metal surface of the chain. The cleaning process takes approximately 10 minutes and eliminates the need for separate solvents such as isopropyl alcohol or acetone.

SILCA Chain Stripper can be used on a removed chain or directly on a chain installed on the bicycle. After cleaning, rinse the chain thoroughly with clean water and allow it to dry completely before applying wax.
