Alugathor Light is an ideal shovel for users who care about every single gram in their backpack. Ultra-lightweight (lighter than a half-liter water bottle) and compact, it fits easily into any avalanche backpack.
The shovel blade is made of robust anodized aluminum and features holes for building a snow anchor or an improvised rescue sled.
Alugathor Light meets the latest UIAA standard for avalanche shovels, requiring a minimum assembled length of 75 cm and a blade area of at least 500 cm². Together with an avalanche probe, this shovel is an essential part of any avalanche safety kit.
