Compatibility: The ATK HY 13 Free binding is compatible with almost all ski touring and freeride skis. Correct adjustment of the anti-friction device (AFD) is essential for compatibility with different types of soles. For correct adjustment, ATK has developed specific spacers that fit between the sliding part of the AFD and the ski. These spacers ensure proper contact between the boot and the binding while also taking into account the thickness of the sole. Thinner plastic soles ensure a solid connection with the binding, and for this reason, softer spacers have been designed, which also serve to dampen vibrations. Thicker rubber soles require almost no spacers, because their rubber composition absorbs vibrations.

Switching between ascent and descent modes is effortless. Simply raise the toe arms for walking or rotate them forward and down for skiing. The intuitive design ensures reliable performance in all conditions with no needs for interchangeable parts.

Press the front lever to open the tip of the binding like a classic pin binding. Pull up to secure the tip. Hy Free allows three heel adjustments depending on the steepness of the slope or your ski boot. The lowest position is 18mm below the tip level - the advantage is a longer step on the flat in freeride ski boots. You activatethem  easily even with the pole..

Switching from walking mode to skiing mode.

By pushing the heel to the bottom position, you activate the brake and lock the heel, then turn the toe towards the front lever and enter the binding as you would a standard downhill binding.
